Concert Ensemble

The Thomas S. Wootton High School Concert Bands have a long tradition of musical excellence, offering students opportunities to grow as musicians while developing confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of community. The program includes Patriot Wind, Symphonic Winds, and Wind Ensemble, providing meaningful and challenging musical experience for students at every level.

Wootton's concert bands consistently earn superior ratings at district and state assessments and have been selected to perform at Maryland Music Educators Association conferences and other prestigious events. Wootton musicians are also regularly represented in MCPS Honor Bands, Maryland All-State ensembles, and regional and national honor groups.

More than simply preparing for concerts, the Wootton Concert Band program strives to create thoughtful, independent musicians who understand the importance of commitment, collaboration, and excellence. Through the study and performance of diverse and challenging repertoire, students learn to listen, lead, support one another, and discover their own musical voice.
